Hi, I’m Jennifer and I’ve been in the hairdressing industry for over 22yrs. I’ve been a salon owner for 16yrs and I’ve also specialised in hair extensions for the past 10yrs. My Alive and Klippin Pontardawe salon has grown very successfully in this time by having an excellent team of stylists by my side, as well as teaching junior trainees year in year out which creates the friendly and professional salon atmosphere that I strive for each day.
In my time in the business I have helped hundreds of clients by treating all sorts of hair disorders as well as prepping client’s hair who have been diagnosed with an array of life changing diseases. Often for my clients, the only course of treatment has been chemotherapy, which one of the side effects is hair loss. As I’m so passionate about my work and wanting to help my clients, who have also become good friends, I wanted to find a way to help them out in their situation by giving them one less thing to worry about in such a difficult and emotional time.
This was the driving force for me to become fully trained in the field 10 years ago and it’s given me the experience over the years to allow me to start my next venture by opening my second premises in Ammanford, comprising of a hair salon, retail shop and a specialist hair loss centre. Having attended training courses in London specializing in hair enhancement, hair to skin, partial and full lace wigs, crowning glory amongst other techniques I can offer a comprehensive and sensitive service to my clients.

We will also supply a wide range of wigs, lace wigs and hair extensions (100% human hair and synthetic wigs) from our retail shop in Ammanford to cover all our customers’ needs. Including all the other accompanying hair accessories to allow us to offer the full service of purchasing, fitting and superior aftercare all in house. We have specially designed and dedicated an entire floor to the hair loss centre to keep everything private, from a consultation room to its own single unit salon as well as its own private bathroom.
Everything about the new hair loss centre done to the highest spec and taste, with myself being the sole person the customer has to deal with from consultation, where we will discuss the exact needs of the client and which techniques will best suit the individual, to the application and fitting of the specific type of hair enhancement system chosen. I also ensure a superior aftercare service where I can teach you the best way to look after your new hair as well as answering any question you may have. I am always on hand whether it be in person, by phone or email, I will be there to help.
